WHY I CHOOSE TO STUDY PHARMACY?

For me, ending up in pharmacy was a last minute decision, because the longest time in high school I wanted to become an english editor. I enjoyed writing, creating stories, and expressing myself through the art. I had a teacher who said that she learned more about me through a few pieces of paper than a year’s worth of talking. Writing was my mode of communication and a passion. I didn’t know exactly what being an editor entailed, but I knew it was one of the highest ranking positions in regards to my interests, so that’s what I had to be.
As the time goes by, I was amazed to know about the chemist. There was a short period when I wanted to become a chemist and go from there, but I wasn’t confident in my choices, how I could apply these interests if it would be a little understanding of the impact I could make in people’s lives. As I began to delve deeper into opportunities, I started to research pharmacy.
To be honest, I didn't know too much about the field or practice of pharmacy when I first entered pharmacy school. But I've grown to love this profession. I think what excites me the most is seeing the profession grow so much over the last few years and how pharmacists embrace the clinical side of pharmacy. It's not just about counting drugs and checking the accuracy of the prescription being filled, but pharmacists are getting more proactive about being involved in their patients health, in terms of comprehensive medication reviews.
Eventhough many people think that pharmacist only handles prescription, yet, for me, they do more than just give medicine. Pharmacist informs the patients about the importance of taking medicine. These includes the dosage, the side effect, and the importance of following doctor’s order. Pharmacist also naturally care about the patients and their health. I want to be a part of the revolution that gives all patients the respect they deserve so that perhaps one day, we will earn the same in return. That’s why I want to be a pharmacist and this reason drives me a lot to keep going on this career, to help making a better tomorrow for others and build the personal bonds necessary for successful health outcomes and genuine trust.

The surplus of social media to update its feature and content attracts the devotee stay in touch, not to glance at other information sources especially for women who have already assumed social media as the world in the clutches.

The existence of online shopping, fashion trendy update, and make up tutorial attract women to be suspended from the social media gradually. In addition, many women function the beauty as the short cut or process to maintain a life style and reach a popularity. Otherwise, women have already been influenced to place marginal world such as object, image, and commodity world. Admittedly, this case needs a policy from all circles of social media user especially women who also becomes the most important element in avoiding social media impact which commonly is called as feminism jihad.

Jihad is frequently narrowed into holy war to against an infidel. Whereas, based on language comprehension, jihad means mobilizing a strength, sincerity, and capability in the believable way. By this, jihad can be done by all circles of society with their own various way. Today's feminism does not need lifting up the weapon toward infidel, yet perceiving some surrounding problems and lavishing entire power are properly enough to solve.

Social media and its influence are not reasonably to be disregarded. it becomes phenomenon and needs awareness of social media user to perceive with a powerful jihad. Basically, many unpretentious ways existing to implement jihad toward social media such as being gingerly in neutralizing unknown source of information, following educated accounts, posting some beneficial knowledges as subject matter, suggestion, and inspired story.

Although social media is quickly up to date every second, users have to operate it effectifely. They do not need to occupy themselves and busily engaged in social media because the bustle of social media possibly impacts the users to be isolated in the real of social civilization.

In brief, social media is not a trouble, because social media is only a technology created to appreciate era development with a lot of its own aims. Therefore, we as young generation also a part of women should strengthen our faith as defender in order to filtrate our own selves from any impact of social media. Because, social media influence is depending on how we act as Sunan Kalijaga said that Anglaras playuning banyu. Ngeli ning ojo keli. Adjust yourself with a water flow. Yet don't let us be washed away in it.
